My brother wanted me to log onto eharmony to see his
profile and give him feedback. Since then, I have
been spammed to death by this pile of trash called
eharmony. I've tried closing my account and it is
impossible. I've sent emails with no response. The
site won't give me any of the options the directions
say are there. This is not a user friendly program
and they don't give a care about you at all. IF I
were a single person, I would not consider using
this place. They are trash and I think they will
have to be sued to stop emailing me.

I have been an eharmony member for two months and one week (and counting).
Besides having to screen out the men who don't give their real names, or
those who give alias e-mail addresses, if you actually meet and talk with
a real person, it's a bit like a job interview. Then, if you actually survive
two dates with a total stranger, you realize that all those things that you
skipped over so joyfully in the personality profile reveal themselves in
ugly detail. Read that personality profile carefully girlfriends, because
it's very accurate - and you are in the driver's seat at that point. - from
an experience eharmony user.

First, for all my time and effort, I was matched with only 2 men in a 30 day
period. So, I must ask, myself, what's wrong? Is it that men are not interested
in professional women making high 6 figures? I guess not. Second, the impression
is a match by personality, but that isn't toally true. No man will respond
without
seeing a picture first. if you refuse, then they cut
off communication also. Not that I have physical flaws,
but I was really hoping that my person was more important
than my face/body. Seems like I was wrong again. It
is also not a good sight for non-Caucasians. There
were few African Americans, etc... Overall, it was not
pleasant experience to be told you are wonderful, but let's see the picture.

While I found the in depth questionaire to be useful in determining personalized
matches, I ended up feeling rather helpless as I waited for eharmony to make
matches and for matches to respond. I received many matches, but few chose
to communicate. This left me feeling rejected and lead to an overall negative
experience. I also wondered what percent of matches were members and actually
could respond. Being matched to non-members is not useful. I wrote to eharmony
with my concerns and received boilerplate responses from their customer service
that did little to solve the problem.

Dating Site: American
Singles

Every other month some woman not of USA birth emails me via American Singles.
I pay the money to enable myself to read the email not knowing who it is
from. I respond but never hear back from them. It makes me wonder if they
are shills for the American
Singles service.
Now I have some Russian chick who says her primary
languguage is English and that she lives in a small
town in NY asking for my home address. Makes me think
this is some kind of way of trolling for information
to steal my identity. Her profile says that she grew
up in Ecology. If I could see the profile of the person
before I have to pony up $25.00 to read the email,
I would never give these type of women a second thought
and definitely wouldn't sign up again.
I cannot recommend this service at all.

Dating Site: eHarmony.com

I have been a member of eHarmony.com for almost 6 months. I am an attractive,
low maintenance, 48 year old woman. I am fun, active, love the outdoors,
etc... In six months, eHarmony.com has matched me with only three men. The first
match was found immediately, (of course, they want your subscriber money).
This match lived 175 miles away, and for a month would not take the time
to come meet me in person. I finally closed the match for that reason. The
second and third match never responded to any communication. The point I
am trying to make is, I AM NOT HARD TO MATCH, and eHarmony.com has only found
THREE matches for me in SIX months. To say the least, I will not be renewing
my subscription to eHarmony.com , and I think all the hype is a scam. I have been
much more happy with Match.com, which is a lot cheaper, and I have been out
with several great guys. If I were you, don't waste your money on eHarmony.com .

It's important to do a search on your profile to make sure that it appears
in the search criteria. I found my profile did not appear 2 weeks after becoming
a subscriber. I spent great deal of time with their customer support and
the problem is not resolved. Also had technical problem with my photo. Based
upon customer support information, some profiles do not appear when utilizing
search tool and it seems to be at the discretion of Match.com.

Dating Site: LavaLife

I agree with the review published here but would like to emphasize a few items.
One, LavaLife is
not well written - is crashes my system a lot, is very slow, and not easy
to use. My biggest annoyance is that it costs a lot to use. In
order to meet someone, they charge for both chatting and email - these charges
can add up very fast and you will easily find yourself paying more then the
monthly charge sites. The single biggest problem is if you buy a chat and
have to leave before your time is up... you lose the rest. For example, if
you buy an hour chat and only use 30 minutes, you lose the other 30 minutes
- what a scam! From my experience, my advice is to use one of
the other sites.
