Don't waste your time with this site. I would say that most of the
female accounts are total fake. They have people working for them, to send
smiles
to guys,
and even chat with them via MSN, just so that they shell out the money, but
it leads nowhere. A few years back it was alright to met a few nice people,
but overall, the fake accounts are totally out of control and as a guy you
end up wasting your cash for nothing. That's not what men want from a dating
site. LavaLife is
no longer a good dating site. They are a pathetic shell of their old self.
They wont get any more of my money.

I am overweight. I am attractive, outgoing, healthy, funny, intelligent, financially
and emotionally stable, etc. I have received 63 matches from eHarmony.com within
two months. I have not met one yet. Most close out immediately; others never
respond. Some women are not up front about their weight or looks...guys
say they hate that. I have asked eHarmony.com if
they could weed out the guys that have no interest in meeting someone who
is overweight and they said
there is more to relationships than looks...duh???? I have one open communication
going...good thing I have some self esteem and a sense of humor...

I decided not to renew membership after 12 months. Although I received a number
of matches, none went beyond the open communication stage. The men who really
wanted to meet me were almost 20 years older than
I and I am not interested in that age disparity.
There is no purpose in having so many reasons to close
communication. Who wants to read "I don't feel any
chemistry"? Also, I think that there are many more
women on the
site than men. Although I have no real proof, I think
the people on the site have a somewhat conservative
bent.
Try it for a few months, but don't waste your on a
year's membership.

Anyone thinking about using this service should be aware of the fact that 1
in 5 people who fill out the survey are 'unmatchable' according to their
current methodology. That means that based on the answers you submitted,
you fall outside of the personality categories they have defined and they
will not make any attempt to match you. I fell into this one in five. I have
to say it is frustrating to spend almost an hour filling out a questionnaire
only to find out they somehow consider me a freak. Oh well.

I gave eHarmony.com a
lot of chances, but by the fourth month I had had it. Net Net: the guys I met
weren't attractive at all to me. No one seems to put
their picture on till the very end of the process and I think for me, at
least, I like to know the person I am emailing sooner. Also I think the question
process is stilted. I actually feel I get to know people on Match.com much better
than I ever did on eHarmony.com . I decided to quit after about four months. I
don't think it works.

I joined in the Fall of 2003. I was given three matches in four months. I
communicated via email with only one who did ask me to call. I did not receive
his email and by the time I did and replied, he had listed on his choices "geographically
too far." The other two matches also listed the geographic distance
as too far to pursue. When I contacted eHarmony.com and
requested that the men that they were matching me up with were too young,
I was told that I could
not raise the age range - only lower it? And, I was told that this was the
only option. Their customer service department offered me one month gratis
and during that month I was never offered one match. Surprise, I was unable
to reach a live person and and I attempted over and over to reach them. I
cancelled my subscription. They are dishonest and a ripoff.

I was only on Match.com for
about a month. I went on three dates. The first one was OK. He was very nice,
but not compatible. The second was a total
loser. The third and last was perfect. We didn't have the chemistry; I wish
we'd been friends first. AWESOME guy though. We are the best of friends now.
It all depends on how you go into it.
Chin up.
