I am very hard of hearing and I noticed there are no reviews regarding deaf dating services. I will add others later on. This one I will review: Deaf Match International. This was the first dating service for the deaf. In my opinion, it is not clear.

The site requires you to sign up your profile, then you can use searches. I liked when it was free. Now it is paid. I am disappointed to see there are too few profiles set up by deaf females because the choices are too few. They do show the date of when they first sign up. Most of them are very old and outdated. They may have been spoken for by marrying or even death. The numbers of females are too few. Even too few pictures, which I'd like to see. I feel comfortable seeing who I am going to email or contact with.

I tried to send them my email address for the ladies to contact me and they said it was a violation of terms of services. That was a major disappointment. I had to test one with clues and it went through without a problem and I got a reply. But she has not replied back the second time and on. Major disappointment.

The end result was zero. No females I met in person. No females replied. Nothing of anything.

I would recommend deaf people to stick with deaf clubs, deaf activities in person, etc. They are much better off in that aspect than online. They'd rather talk than email. So, actually, for all dating services for the deaf they are not worth their investment on the money in the long run.

I would rather invest in my search in by going to their functions out of town. It really works! I met one in an out of state Christian conference for the deaf and we were engaged, in fact, but I wish we were taking more time to get to know each other and I had a problem finding a job in her big city. They didnt want an outsider working there. Besides that, terrorism was fresh on our minds in 2001. That is one reason for the break up and I moved back. I was on the right track.

So, my advice: no offense dating services, for deaf people it's better to meet someone offline in those functions. Then you can talk online with Instant Messenging is the next generation of TTY--Teletypewriter for the deaf.

I rather to meet someone offline than online first THEN can talk online.

So, to be safe, offline is far best.
