(July 23, 2009) Online dating service Great Expectations is in a lot of trouble after a hidden camera investigation found stronghold sales tactics in getting people to dish out thousands of dollars for a service they say misrepresents itself. The State of Wisconsin has filed a lawsuit against Great Expectations for violating state consumer protection laws. Some of the sales tactics include taking people’s drivers license to keep them in the room and spending hours trying to pressure them into signing up for the dating service.
