Another Chemistry.com Free Communication Weekend Begins

(Online Dating Magazine - July 23, 2010) Chemistry.com has started a new free communhication weekend that will go from today, July 23, 2010 through Sunday July 25, 2010. During that time period, anyone signing up for Chemistry.com will be allowed to communicate with their Chemistry.com matches and use normally paid member only features for free.

Chemistry.com, founded by Match.com, started holding free communication events awhile after its biggest rival, eHarmony.com, introduced the marketing concept to the world of online dating.

Like with eHarmony, Chemistry.com is a dating service that is focused on relationships versus casual dating. As a result, users are required to fill out an extensive personality profile before they can begin using the service. The profile is used, along with secret "scientific algorythms" to determine matches with other people. You are allowed to communicate only with people you are matched with. People who have had little success with traditional online dating services like Match.com will many times find greater success with services like Chemistry.com and Match.com because of the formula they use for matchmaking and a process that is a lot different than other online dating sites.

Right now, eHarmony is the largest relationship service online, followed at a distance by Chemistry.com and PerfectMatch. is the second largest relationship service, behind eHarmony.com. A relationship service is one that focuses more on relationship and marriage-minded people versus those that just want to date.
