eHarmony Puts Renewed Focus on Customer Service

(onlinedatingmagazine.com - October 11, 2004) eHarmony, an online relationship service, has announced that it is building a new customer call center and expanding to meet service demands of new and current customers. eHarmony call centers currently handle over 100,000 customer inquiries each month by phone, email and live chat.

The move will hopefully tackle many concerns of those who use eHarmony. Online Dating Magazine has received more complaints about eHarmony's customer service than complaints of all other online dating services combined.

"We like eHarmony's approach to online dating," says Joe Tracy, publisher of Online Dating Magazine. "It is one of the best approaches in the industry. However, satisfaction of those having to use eHarmony's customer service is extremely low. And when people get terrible customer service they complain and tell others. We have been a sounding board for lots of eHarmony.com customer service complaints. I'd love to see that change around. This new move by eHarmony.com may be just the ticket. A great online dating service with great online customer service is virtually unstoppable."

eHarmony plans to open a new 7000 square foot, consolidated call center facility to keep pace with growing customer needs. In addition, the company expects to grow its customer service staff by 25% before the end of this year.
