Club90 Uses Vegas Trip to Lure Memberships

(onlinedatingmagazine.com - April 19, 2004) Building a membership base for a new online dating service isn't an easy job, which is why a new service called Club90 is giving away a "VIP" Vegas trip in a contest to promote membership.

An additional strategy of Club90 is to attract "young, hip singles" as the core of its audience.

"As the Internet's most sophisticated and technically compelling online dating site, Club90 is the perfect place for hip, young singles to meet other like-minded people for clubbing, dating, and even marriage" claims Marc Gelormini, President and CEO of Club90. "The 'VIP Vegas Weekend' is extra incentive for Internet daters to think of Club90 as the coolest place to go when looking to meet someone online."

The prizes in the competition are as follows:

One Grand Prize -- VIP Weekend in Las Vegas (retail value $4000) including round-trip air fare on Southwest Airlines for two, two nights at the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel & Casino, and All Night Saturday VIP Club Services.

10 Second Place Prizes -- Free Club90 Lifetime Membership

10 Third Place Prizes -- $10 Gift Certificate/Tower Records

Club90 currently offers its members a free, all access pass to its service but intends to add a monthly service fee sometime in the coming year. The site launched in first quarter 2004 and has "a few thousand members" since its launch.
