MingleMatch Online Dating Sites Lead to Record Results

From January to October of this year, MingleMatch has seen a 400 percent increase in the number of profiles being posted on its various niche dating websites, and third quarter revenue is up 365 percent over the same quarter last year.

According to Forrester Research, the online dating market has experienced significant growth over the past two years. With more than 40 percent of the population being single, spending on online personal ads reached $302 million in 2002. In 2003 alone, visits to online dating sites increased by 51 percent and spending on personals and dating content grew by $92.8 million to reach $214.3 million for the first half of 2003. By 2007, Forrester predicts annual spending in this market to reach $642 million.
