Help on Landing that Hunk
(6 Ways to Seize the Day)

When it comes to romance, are you grabbing all the gusto you can? Or are you like many single women that believe that between weekly errands and visits to the health club, their Mr. Right will magically find them?

Think again. Times have changed.

With life’s hectic pace, the ratio of women to men, and changing norms, it may be necessary to employ some creativity in landing the man of your dreams!

There’s a new exciting anthology for women that tells you how “Grab Your Tiger" published by Keen Publication, and of which I am a contributing author. The book gives us the hard and sobering facts. To sum it up, all men are not comfortable being the aggressor. Would you believe that?

According to a poll of 10,000 men, 93% reported to liking when a woman makes the first move! It’s true. The author of the book shares how she was confronted with this reality when at 46 and single, she had to chat the man of her dreams up at a health club. The result? A four-year marriage and a blockbuster book!

The book goes on to ask, how do you rate at landing a mate? Answer the following questions and see!

» Have you ever let a hot guy get away because you were too shy to approach him?

» Did you tell yourself lf if he felt the same he’d approach, so maybe he’s just not that into you?

» Do you feel it’s the guy’s job to make that move cause after all, men have always been the hunters and everyone knows men love the chase?

If you answered yes to even one of the above questions, and you’re still single and still looking, maybe it’s time to make that first move! Socially challenged?

Here are some other creative techniques to consider, to give cupid a hand:

1) If initiating a conversation with a stranger causes you angst, why not post a profile on an online dating site, or respond to one? It’s much easier to communicate in the comfort of one’s home, and not be overly concerned with appearances and awkward moments. Online Dating Magazine provides a list of online dating services and even niche dating services.

2) Throw a singles’ mingle, a party that provides an opportunity for single men and women to come together with the intended purpose of meeting a potential mate. Be sure to have a good mix of different personalities, backgrounds, and age groups present to insure a fun time for all!

3) Consider attending a speed-dating forum. These events are sponsored across the country in coffee houses, bars, and other venues. Here’s how it works. In the course of maybe 2 - 4 hours, you would have a series of “mini dates” with multiple individuals lasting about five minutes or so in a round robin fashion. In this brief period of time, the conversations are usually casual, and used as icebreakers. At the end of the evening, when there is a potential “love connection”, members exchange contact info and take things to the next level. Interested in learning more? Go to www.dateanddash.com.

4) Make it a point to look attractive when you are out and about in your daily travels. Even if you’re just going to get gas for the car, it doesn’t hurt to look a little cute! You never know when and where love may find you!

5) Watch your body language! Have a receptive demeanor. Sometimes guys are intimidated to approach us simply because we look unfriendly or appear frazzled.

6) Stop traveling in packs! How is that hunk supposed to approach you with your giggling girlfriends always in tow?

Put these savvy strategies to work in 2007, and stop waiting to experience the magic of love! Remember, Carpe diem baby!
