Online dating is one of the best ways for people to meet someone to form a relationship with. Every year there are more than 280,000 marriages as a result of people who met online. But there is some truth in the cartoon above.  There’s a dark side to online dating. Because it is so easy to meet other people, it’s also easier to cheat. In fact, one research study showed that up to 30% of people that use online dating services are married!

In addition, many singles will leave up their profile even after they’ve entered into a steady relationship. This keeps the temptation of secretly communicating with others alive. Leaving a profile up after entering into a relationship is unfair to the relationship. While it’s easy to always thing that the “grass is greener” with the next match, the truth is you’ll never find your perfect match if you don’t give your relationship a chance.

If you enter into a relationship from someone you met online, please delete your profile and give that relationship a fair chance to develop.
