One of the biggest complaints from online daters is that they are communicating with someone on a dating service and suddenly that person “falls off the face of the Earth”. One minute you think you have a good connection and the next you can’t get a response. One of the questions Online Dating Magazine is asked the most is why someone they were communicating with suddenly disappeared and stopped communicating with them. The answer is likely one of the following:

– The person is married.
– The person is communicating with someone else.
– The person has lost interest, but doesn’t know how to tell you.
– The person got back together with an ex.
– The person found a match and is dating them now.

Whatever the reason, it is extremely disrespectful to suddenly stop communicating with someone without letting them know why.  If you feel the need to stop communicating with someone, it’s important to let them know. The golden rule says, “do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.” If you don’t like it when someone falls of the face of the Earth when you’re trying to get to know them, then don’t do it to others. By being honest and respectful you’ll become a better person.
