Review
The only thing that Match.com has going for it is that
it is well-known and popular, and ironically this
is one of its biggest liabilities as well.
Yeah, it's a way to cast a wide net, which increases
possibilities of a match, but there is not enough ways
to effectively narrow a search past the most superficial
of qualities.
I was surprised that a reviewer was so taken with
the keyword search...when I used the keyword search
to try to find fellow vegetarians, men interested in
BBW, or references to favorite music, books, or films,
I was hugely disappointed. Many times it pulled up
profiles where guys were requesting "no BBW" OR "no
vegetarians." Not encouraging.
After realizing that I was still signed up for Match.com (which is another complaint) I gave the mutual matching
feature a try - that's where they match up people they
say should be mutally attractive or interesting to
one another. On many of these "matches," my
preferences were ignored. It's difficult to determine
how they make those "matches."
I remain unimpressed that I can narrow my search by
race, eye-color, or the body type of prospective matches,
but not to the group of men who describe themselves
as desiring women meeting my description.
