Been a member for two years. Had over 200 matches
and closed the vast majority of them. Here's why:
1. Too slow. My matches took more than a week to answer
five multiple choice questions.
2. College kids. They sign up to get the free personality
profile, nothing more. They're long gone by the time
Eharmony makes a match.
3. Nobody dates in 29 dimensions. A lady who seeks
a cowboy for the rodeo won't find happiness dating
a corporate suit.
My experience:
A) Women who hid their pictures turned out to be very
average in appearance and extremely shy.
B) The real gem is the personality profile which is
hidden by default. You have to ask for it.
C) Expanding your geographic search will generate
more matches. But you'll have to justify the extra
time, cost, and risk of long distance dating.
Overall a frustrating experience, but why should I
throw away my telescope just because my life partner
isn't visible to the naked eye?
I like knowing some kind of system is crunching away
in the background while I sleep alone at night...even
if it's a very frustrating system.
My annual membership was renewed for $250.
