Review
After reading all the negative reviews, more by the
men than the women, I would like to share a few
thoughts.
1. YES the site is not perfect. There
are non-members who we are unable to contact and that
stinks.
2. Height and weight stuff is critical to US superficial
men. HOWEVER, it is a 'HUGH TURNOFF' to be conversing
with a lady under false pretenses. To show up for a
date and have to spend time with an obese person is
no fun.
3. I have been dating for 7 years since my divorce
and have discovered many of us have a 'laundry list'
of requirements for our MR/MRS Right that often reaches
to the sky! The upshot of that is that as we age,
we bring more baggage to potential relationships,
and our
pool of possible available matches dwindles rapidly.
In other words AS WE AGE, WE BECOME LESS ATTRACTIVE
AND MORE PARTICULAR..Is that messed up or what?
So in light of that, I believe that eHarmony is
analogous to dating itself. It is all about expectations.
Expectations,
if unrealistically high can destroy relationships.
If you are under the mistaken belief that this will
bring the perfect match, smarten up folks. It is all
about the NUMBERS! How else can we get our pics
and personalities spread far and wide, with very little
effort? Yes there are other sites and yes you can
meet people and have sex, but no where else do they
at least make some attempt to match people by some
method (high tech or not).
I'm still trying. Good luck all and be positive.
