eHarmony is
a good service as long as you are patient, and realistic
about what you are venturing into.
I met a woman and we really fell for each other over
the phone. When we met there was no chemistry. It
ended really awkward, and I was bummed for about
a week after.
The hardest aspect of this service
is the multitude of people that you need to communicate
with. I was literally juggling about ten different "matches" at
a time. This can really become a problem, as you
may find yourself confusing one matches' qualities
with another match. As I said, be realistic. If anything
this is a really good service to help you to
a)
get a feel for what is really out there and
b)
to help you gauge as to what you really want in
a match.
I found the whole thing really enlightening
in
a
lot of different ways. On the whole, I would
recommend this service. A note of caution: If you
are trying
to close your account make sure you follow
the steps to the "T", otherwise they may end up debiting
your credit card again. Also, keep in mind that
if you do end
up meeting up with a potential match, you will
still have to face the fact that it still always comes
down to chemistry.
Online dating is like meeting
in reverse. You learn everything about the
person,
and then you see them/meet them. To me the
process is nerve racking, as the build up/let down
factor
can be very disheartening.
For me, I'm just
going to leave it up to fate... Good luck.
