I wanted to try out Chemistry.com to see if the site
lived up to the advertising hype. Unfortunately,
it didn't. Here's why:
» You
are limited to viewing 5 matches a day, so if you
find the ones presented to you to not be appropriate
you have to wait to receive more matches.
» You
are given a Chemistry Profile based on a series of
questions. This profile (major and minor personality
types) is then used as part of the matching criteria.
Your profile description includes rankings of which
personality types match best with you. So I was surprise
to find men with each of the different personality
types all described to me as a "Great Match".
It does not seem that the Chemistry Profile holds
the necessary weight in selecting matches. Especially,
as the men I found the most interesting WERE the
ones, according to my chemistry profile description,
which were considered the best match.
» This
may seem minor, but what ended up really irking me
was the large number of matches who seemed illiterate
or extremely careless in typing. These were discounted
immediately (and I saw 2-3 of these a day!) I recommend
if you are trying to find a mate that you use a
spell-checker, or better yet, have a friend review
your statement.
I
had paid a premium to join Chemistry.com believing
that their matching criteria would be more accurate.
I was sorely disappointed to find it was not.
