The theory is that teens don’t really need to concern themselves with online dating because their daily activities (i.e. school, sports, clubs) put them in contact with fellow teens all the time. That’s the theory. Is that the case?

IMO, a forum show that is part of AwesomenessTV, which brings together YouTube personalities, dedicated one of their recent episodes to the subject of teens and online dating. The panel for the discussion included:

One opinion some of the women on the panel share is that the evolution of social media makes it easier to track a person to find out if they are real, thus “making it less weird” to online date.
Several people on the panel also find online dating to be weird because “you can’t hug them; you can’t kiss them.” They need that physical presence.
