Discrimination Lawsuit Filed Against eHarmony

(June 3, 2004) Online dating service eHarmony is under renewed pressure to allow gays and lesbians to use its service after a discrimination lawsuit was filed against the company in California this week. Linda Carlson, a lesbian, tried to sign up for the service, but couldn’t because there wasn’t a “woman seeking woman” option. She contacted eHarmony, which apparently dismissed her complaint. So she filed a lawsuit against eHarmony claiming the company is breaking California’s law against sexual orientation discrimination. Here’s a story about the incident…
