The following video, by Buzzfeed, is about the Science of Online Dating; things you can do to improve your chances of getting a date (or even a response). The creators of the video took data from Match.com, OKcupid, and eHarmony to help users “create the perfect online dating profile”.
What makes this video great is the way it is edited. It is fast, visually appealing, entertaining, and very informative. It is, by far, one of the best online dating tip videos we’ve seen in awhile.

So what are some of the online dating tips presented in the video?
> Men who mention a woman’s looks in their first communication decrease their chances of getting a response.
> Ladies who refer to themselves as a “girl” in their profile, versus “woman”, get more responses.
> Never crop a photo of you that had someone else in it. Interest is decreased.
> Always look at the camera for your profile photo as it increases interest.
> Use a medium shot for your profile photo. Close-ups get fewer clicks.
