Online Dating Directory Listing Tips
Here are some tips for getting the best out of your listing on the Online Dating Directory: Tip 1: Use your allotted description space.
Standard Listings are given up to 400 words and Premium Listings are given up to 800 words. Write a compelling description and it will help your page in its search engine rankings, rankings with the Online Dating Magazine search function, and give us more ideas for your keyword Meta Tag (that search engines see).
Tip 2: For Premium Listings, Supply an Image
Premium listings don't have an ad (like the one to the right). Instead, it is replaced with a 300X250 image of the Website with a direct link to the Website. You may not be aware, but you can customize your image. For example, if you have a 300X250 ad that has worked well for you, you can send an email to jtracy@onllinedatingmagazine.com requesting that the thumbnail be taken out and replaced with an image that you provide.
Tip 3: For Premium Listings, Use all 3 Links
After you pay for a Premium Listing (Submit page), you are provided with a form that allows you to place up to three links in your listing. Obviously, your home page will be one of those links. The other two are optional, but you should use them. Think about what's most important for you to have listed. Is it your Join Now page? Perhaps it's your FAQ. Maybe you have an articles section or a news section. Make sure you provide two additional links as search engines will follow those links and people may be intrigued enough to click on one of the two remaining links, even if they didn't plan on originally visiting your home page.
Tip 4: Get Listed Twice
It is possible to have your Website listed in more than one category. Each will cost you a listing price, but it will also double your exposure and you can use different text, etc. in each ad. After your initial listing is approved, email jtracy@onlinedatingmagazine.com asking if the listing qualifies for any additional categories. You'll be sent a response. If it does, then you may want to consider listing in an additional category.
Online Dating Magazine is very strict about sites being in the correct category. An example of a site that may be eligible for more than one category is a free online dating service. It could go in both the Free Online Dating Service category and the General Online Dating Services category. Or, if it's a huge free online dating service like PlentyOfFish, then it could go in Free Online Dating Services and Major Online Dating Services.
