eHarmony Bringing Romance to Sporting Events
Rays Kiss Cam Becomes eHarmony Cam
(onlinedatingmagazine.com -
April 10, 2008) Online relationship service eHarmony is now bringing romance to sporting events,,starting with sponsorship of the Tampa Bay Rays "Kiss Cam". The "Kiss Cam" is a feature at many nationwide sporting events where during a break in action, a camera is focused on a couple and then that couple kisses as the arena cheers. However,, eHarmony's sponsorship changes how the "Kiss Cam" at Rays Home Center (the stadium where the Tampa Bay Rays play) operates.
The "Rays Kiss Cam" has now being renamed to the "eHarmony Cam". The way the eHarmony Cam works is that instead of featuring fan kisses, it will feature a different eHarmony couple at every home game that will be shown live on the stadium screen while in the audience. The fans will then hear about the success story of that couple. Each couple featured is also a Tampa Bay Rays fan.
“The greater Tampa Bay area is an important market for eHarmony, and the fact that we have more than 80 eHarmony couples living in this area who are Rays fans makes this a win-win partnership,” said Greg Waldorf, CEO of eHarmony. “This partnership allows us to say thank you to our satisfied members who found love and happiness on eHarmony while also promoting eHarmony to prospective new members. The Rays have always been a very lovable organization when it comes to putting their fans first, and we believe that our strong relationship with our success couples ‘marries’ nicely with the Rays’ approach to engaging and spotlighting their fan base.”.
