eHarmony
Offers a Weekend of Free Communication
(onlinedatingmagazine.com -
February 16, 2007) Over the holiday weekend, eHarmony has
announced that it is allowing all members - paid and
non-paid - to communicate with each other for free.
From February 16-19, 2007, members of eHarmony will
be able to communicate with their matches with no
payment required. Normally for two people to
communicate via eHarmony, both must be paying members.
Last
year, eHarmony tested
the free communication weekend concept and is looking
at possibly making it a regular routine if it again
proves to be successful for them. The concept behind
offering a free communication weekend is that when
the weekend ends, there will still be several open
communications and the user will have to sign up
to continue those communications.
eHarmony
is an online relationship service that uses a "scientific"
compatibility test to match members. Last year, eHarmony announced
that an independent poll concluded that over 90 eHarmony
members marry on average every day as a result of
being matched on the site. The poll, conducted by
Harris Interactive, indicated that over 33,000 eHarmony members
marry every year because of meeting on eHarmony.
