Seven Romantic Holiday Marriage
Proposal Ideas(onlinedatingmagazine.com -
December 17, 2003) Here are seven romantic holiday
marriage proposal ideas as presented by Brenda Ross,
relationship advisor for Date.com:
1) Plan a night in to
watch your favorite holiday film. Make a bowl of
popcorn and place the ring at the bottom. When the
popcorn's
almost done, grab the ring and propose.
2) Find several
boxes that can all fit inside each other. Wrap
up the ring box and place it in the smallest box
and wrap
that
as well. Continue until all the boxes are wrapped.
When she's opening the gift and glaring at you
for all the work she has to do, smile and tell her
it's
going to be worth it.
3) Take her out for a nice dinner
at a romantic restaurant. Leave room for dessert
and have the waiter bring the ring box on her dessert
plate.
4) Prepare a special, romantic holiday
dinner, complete with champagne. Don't forget the
candles. Place the ring in the bottom of the champagne
glass
and pour the bubbly over it. Watch her eyes light
up when
you hand her the glass.
5) Put up the Christmas tree when
she isn't home, only without any ornaments. Tie
a string around the box and hang it on the tree.
When she sees
the box, prompt her to open it.
6) Make a plan to put up
the Christmas tree together. Attach the ring to
an ornament and put it back in its box. When the
tree
is fully dressed, tell her there's one more ornament
and hand the box to her.
7) Throw a New Year's Eve party
and let those attending know that you're planning
to propose. Pop the question in front of everyone
when
the clock strikes midnight.
"Remember, this is an opportunity
that only comes around once a year", adds Ross "so
if you make the most of it, it's something you can
both cherish for the rest of your lives."
