Letter to the Editor:
True.com - Trouble Cancelling
I
took out a three day trial
with True.com; I called on
the third day to make a 'verbal'
cancellation, as indicated.
There was no answer at the
given phone number after repeated
calls.
I
cancelled my membership the following week. But,
unfortunately, I ended up paying for the month.
Do
they even have operators?
Then
after verbally cancelling with an operator; I just
checked my Visa statement and
seen that I was charged two
more months. They said, "I
re-activated" my account if I sent out a smile
or wink. Surprisingly, it states that those smiles & winks
are free.
It's
fraud, plain & simple.
