Letter to the Editor:
Unauthorized Payments Taken by True.com
How
can this happen and they [True.com]
still stay in business?
My
story coincides almost exactly with all the other
complaints about this site that I am reading.
(1)
First and foremost they will not cancel an account.
(2)
Second, they claim no-one canceled the account even
though they have been told to cancel time and time
again.
(3)
There is a place to cancel online, but then they
claim one can only cancel over the phone.
(4)
The account information cannot be taken out of the "profile
of the account holder". It always gets put back.
(5)
After they "inadvertently" take
a payment for $49.99 after the account has been canceled,
they are "unable
to make any refunds."
Let's
do something to shut this fraudulant activity down.
I want to sue...this is outrageous..
