My Take on Online Dating Sites

Lately too many dating websites, both fee paid and free services, are having so many Russians, Africans, Filipinas signed up or are they really from those countries signed up on so many websites? Often I received emails from so many women from those countries that I am not interested in. They may be prisoners bored to death, or professional criminals such as International Terrorists, or they are just wasting your time and not really from those other countries and really living in your hometown.

That was the case happened to me once with someone who looked so familiar. Maybe her photo was stolen. It was a well known TV anchor on cable whose picture was on a dating site.

I got fed up with all long distance online dating sites. For a long time since 2002, I was looking for a local woman; not someone from another state or country.

Now, I am glad that someone is suing against Yahoo and Match dating sites because their staff has been playing with people's mind with fraud. Their staff would send winks to make people sign up to read messages. They know they are losing money because people DO NOT want to pay to find that ONE person. Sure, we all want things for free, but I have to agree with people. You are not to buy a spouse! Those services reminded me when I was 20 something with the old fashioned mail order brides from the Philippines back in the 1980s long before internet.

I do not mean to sound anti-online dating services. I am only stating PAID services is wrong because it sounds like prostitution. You don't buy a spouse! You have to earn by winning her or his heart to marry you with just plain ol' love! I don't believe in paying for a wife. No way Jose!

I would have to say congrats to someone who is suing Yahoo! Personals and Match.com sites.

I enjoy more of free sites, only the choices are still not enough because of the foreigners on those sites. So, to say this, I have retired from searching for my bride online and focused offline search and hang out with friends and just never know she is right there!! The good old fashioned way, they earned it! Ha. Not only that, I am 41 and I got life half over and not found her so I got other things I want to do now though.

For you all, please try to be more active and outgoing to find that special person. Or if you insist, then join the free ones such as www.plentyoffish.com and www.christianet.com as well as www.meetchristians.com websites. They are free to join. They are good sites with some exceptions for meetchristians.com -- too limited choices, and for christianet.com -- too few photographs but plenty to meet choose. Plenty has a lot more people but some a little off of your taste.

I sure wish United Singles was still in the running in Upstate New York but it has been closed due to lack of members. They used to meet twice a week for singles dances and singles walks.

Try to find your local activities for singles! Good choices to find specially big conferences for singles. God bless you all and Merry Christmas!
