Letter to the Editor:
Winks From True are UnTrue

I just read your article about what TRUE is doing and wanted you to see my e-mail to them! This is sooo outrageous! I never really suspected anything until I got a message saying: "I'M WINKING BACK AT YOU!" and I had never seen the person's profile at all! I too have gotten the automatically generated generic messages. How can they do this?

They sent me back a FAQ sheet explaining how to disable this "HELPFUL FEATURE", a feature they never bothered to tell me about when I filled in the initial profile.

This is to let you know that I do not appreciate getting replies from people who write that I have winked at them!!! I HAVE NOT DONE SO!!! This has happened several times now and I hear that some websites are being sued for doing this. It is a GROSS invasion of privacy and deceptive!!!!

Please look into this.
