Stay Away From Emotional Vampires

It’s
a shame that some men online use, abuse, deceive, and
seduce decent people. I don't think 'everyone' is all
that, but my experiences haven't been good.
The
first man was a male model who sent poetry, promised
love, dedication etc, then up went the red flags
when he wanted to send me a mail order for me to
cash in my bank account.
The
second man I communicated with for eight months;
phone calls, chat and emails and was going to marry
until I found out he was cheating or cyber sexing
with other woman online. I found out through a friend
who he hit on. Nice!
The
third man fell in love with me within a week with
a marriage proposal not long after. He seemed the
real deal, after communicating for six months, until
he told me that one of us would die if we didn't
meet within the year. Yeah right, good one!
The
fourth was really different. Spent eight months emailing
me, with not a phone call or chat. Had me in hook
line and sinker emotionally and basically mind played
me, like I have never experienced before. He had
a very smooth and powerful way with words. An expert!
It felt like I was under spell at the time. He very
quickly moved on to the next "love
of his life, Queen, Princess, (gag, I hate those lines),
which he displayed in front of me , so to speak, when
I confronted him on some offensive writings. Heartless!
However silly me for not listening to the Big Red Flag
in the beginning in his profile which said. "Not
looking for someone for 'just' sex, but to masturbate
one's mind.' Well, well that’s exactly what he
did. Maybe I was naive at the time and didn't fully understand
what he was implying. I can't believe I missed that one.
I
still don't give up hope either way of finding a
decent man. If anything it has taught me a lot about
myself and about what to look out for - whether in
real life or online. However one has to be very,
very careful and to always follow their gut instinct,
even the slightest one. Life is way too short and
it’s a waste
of time being seduced by some of these emotional
vampires. Harsh word but true!
