Frustrated with Online Dating
40 year
old female from Midwest
I
am not bitter, but I will say I'm more than a little
frustrated with the online dating experience. I have
gone out on quite a few dates and it seems I have
had one negative experience after another. As such,
I have put online daters into 5 categories:
1:
People who truly are looking for a serious relationship
2:
People who are just looking for a friend to hang
out with on occasion.
3:
People just looking to get laid
4:
People who aren't over their ex's yet
5:
People who are just plain psycho!!!
I'm
certain there is someone out there for me, but I'm
becoming less and less enamored with the prospect
of meeting someone. I don't frequent the local watering
holes and the men I'd be even remotely interested
in at the local YMCA are all married. I live a fairly
busy life and because of that fact, the initial appeal
of online dating was perfect for me. However, that
appeal has quickly worn thin as I am disappointed
time and time again with each person I've met from
Internet dating sites.
I'm
tired of shelling-out the money "one
more time" only to see the same faces staring
back at me over and over again. But, because I'm
the optimistic type, I'm certain at some point I'll
try yet again. For now though, I need a break from
online dating. Sifting through endless profiles,
photos, emails, winks, flirts etc. is time consuming
and exhausting!!
