Short Men Can Have Dating Success

I just found your site today and could
not help sharing my experience with dating online.
The first letter I read in the Dating Tips section
was from a
man who said he was of shorter stature and felt it
limited him in meeting women online. I tell him
and you that is not true at all. I am 5'3, 52, married
to someone I met online five years ago. At the time
I tried meeting people online I was 46, divorced, on
disability, living in a trailer park, and going back
to college. I really never gave my height much thought,
and did not say unless asked. I put an ad in Classified
2000, which I think was through Excite.com. I posted
my profile and a pic. Within two months I could not
keep up with the 60+ women from all over the world
who were e-mailing me. I had simply asked for a pen-pal
and became overwhelmed at the response. Some women
mentioned how they wanted a tall man, but that is
so shallow. I was better off not knowing them. I
eventually stayed in constant contact with one woman
who was nice and we "clicked"
(had common interests and looked at life the same).
After eight months of online and phone contact, we
married. We just had our five year anniversary, so
you can find love on the Internet.
Now I met all kinds of people; some were nice, some were
wacked, and some were just looking for that special someone.
It was an adventure for sure. I still caution people
to be careful whoever you are looking for, because bad
people are out there looking too.
I would tell the guy with the "I'm Short Tag" to
get over it. We can't grow anymore. The Rack is out,
and most women don't even notice if you are shorter
than them if you are sincere and honest. I mean I had
nothing, but me to offer while this guy has job, money,
probably status. But those do make you
who you are inside where it counts. One thing about
the Net is people can't physically see you, but they
can figure out what and who you are as that is hard
to hide if
you
talk for any length of time.
