Getting Help for an STD
Having
an STD (or thinking you may) can be an emotionally
draining experience that causes you additional stress
in your life that you don't need.
If
you think you may have an STD, there
are anonymous resources available for advice and
help. One of those resources is the government's
confidential 24-hour National STD Hotline. All calls
to the toll-free hotline are answered by trained
health professionals.
Each
call is private, confidential, and personal.
The
hotline is operated by the Centers for Disease Control.
The
National CDC STD Hotline can help you find a doctor
or clinic for an STD test, answer questions on tests
and treatments, and provide advice if you are concerned
that you may have contracted an STD.
