Gonorrhea Via Oral Sex?
Dear STD Advice,
My partner has told me that he
allowed a woman to give him oral sex. He says
after 30secs he made her stop and that he did
not ejaculate. He has recently been told that
she has gonorrhea. Could he have caught it
from her?
~ Need to
Know
Dear Need to Know,
Even though the act lasted only 30 seconds and there was no ejaculation, there
is still a possibility that your partner could have gonorrhea if
the female was infected at the time. Since antibiotics can cure gonorrhea,
it is important that your partner get tested as soon as possible. There are
many painless tests to determine if
a person has gonorrhea.

Only a physician can properly diagnose whether or
not you have an STD. Thus it is important that you
get an STD test done if you have a concern. None of the
advice given in this column is a substitute for physician
advice.
If you think you may have a sexually transmitted
disease, you should see a physician immediately to
be properly diagnosed and treated. You should not try
to diagnose or treat symptoms on your own.
